Thrive DC Day To Mark Partnership With Zipcar

Corporate-Nonprofit Partnership to Launch May 26
at FRESHFARM Market by the White House

This Thursday, May 26, those attending the FRESHFARM Market will be able to sign up to volunteer for Thrive DC, get more information on Zipcar and sign up for memberships, and bring donations of travel-sized toiletries, new undergarments and socks for Thrive DC. Using Zipcar vehicles, donations will be transported to Thrive DC’s Columbia Heights location.

Starting this May, Thrive DC will use Zipcar vehicles to help gather and deliver donations, and Zipcar’s local DC office will encourage members to use their reserved cars to volunteer to pick up donated food for Thrive DC from various locations throughout the city

“Zipcar is all about being local, and we’re proud to make positive changes within our community by working with organizations like Thrive DC,” said Ellice Perez, general manager, Zipcar DC.
